I suffer from anxiety and I’m prone to nightmares, so the passing of the year seemed like an appropriate time for me to work on these issues. And since January 1st happened during a waxing moon, it felt like a good time for me to invite a growing sense of inner peace and comfort into my life.

So today, I decided to create a Peace and Comfort ritual oil. This is my personal recipe, feel free to follow it or change some ingredients with plants you feel more connected to.

The ingredients I chose for my peace and comfort oil are:

  • Valerian roots, to help with sleep.
  • Rosemary, to protect my sleep from nightmares and negative spirits.
  • Lavender for its calming and soothing properties.
  • Chamomile, for its anti-stress and anxiety-release properties.
  • Eucalyptus for the comfort and well-being the scent of this tree brings me. Eucalyptus also has many well-known healing properties.

If you like working with numerology, you can be mindful about the amount of ingredients you choose to add to your potions. Here, I chose to work with five plants because, to me, 5 is the number…
