Instructions for the use of the interactive video platform.
1. Interactive Video Project Page.
The home page of the interactive video platform displays a list of interactive video projects. Users can create new interactive video projects or manage existing interactive video projects.
(1) Interactive video project creation.
Click to create an interactive video project to jump to the interactive video configuration page.
(2) Interactive video project management.
You can re-edit the existing interactive video, submit it, view the review feedback status, and view the video resources contained in the interactive video project.
2. Interactive Video configuration Page.
The interactive video configuration page provides a series of capabilities for interactive video production, including but not limited to video addition, plot configuration, interactive point settings, single-episode plot preview, and interactive preview of the overall interactive plot.
(1) upload video material.
Before building an interactive plot, please upload the video resources you need in this interactive video project, and you can use and preview the video after the video is uploaded and transcoded.
(2) build the interactive plot structure.
Through the middle canvas and the right plot configuration drawer, the content creator can create and set the interactive plot structure.
On the canvas in the center of the page, you can build the plot structure.
When finished, the video resources in the resource area on the left can be added to the plot structure by dragging and dropping.

If there are two or more plots at the same time after a plot, the plot will automatically start the interaction, and you can also turn on the “plot interaction switch” manually to make the “plot table” more interactive.
In the interactive plot, the interactive point of the plot can be set through the configuration box on the right.
(3) set interactive properties.
You can set the selected plot in the settings area on the right.
The interactive attribute setting currently includes setting the time of occurrence of the interactive point, the video playback status when the interactive point appears, the style of the interactive point and the buttons of the interactive point.
In addition, when the plot node has added video resources and the interactive switch is turned on, advanced settings can be made.
Advanced settings include branch default option settings, branch option click jump settings, branch option countdown settings, and so on.
(4) Interactive video preview.
Interactive video preview can preview a single plot or preview of the overall interactive plot.
Preview of the single story:
Click on the video in the video list or click on the plot in the canvas to preview the single story independently in the player of the interactive configuration tool.
Preview of the overall interactive plot:
You can preview the overall interactive plot by clicking the global preview button near the save button in the upper right corner.
The overall plot preview supports the content creator to manipulate the interaction of the settings to preview the branch option interaction and the branch plot playback effect and so on.
First, we need to build a “start module”. Drag the video clip from the left sidebar, drop it here and release (use it to fill the start module).
(Note: You need to build at least one branch to build a complete plot tree.)

Note: please choose a name carefully. The name of the module not only includes the name of the current plot, but also cannot be spoiled.

The branch module allows viewers to jump to different options such as A, B, C, D, etc.
As a game designer, when should you let users make a choice?
It must be when the user is distracted, you draw the user’s attention back through your options, but the branch of the option should be reasonable and stand up to scrutiny.
Give the audience enough information to choose rather than let the audience guess the choice.
The main focus of the script is on the horizontal development of the plot rather than the vertical development of the options.
It’s not that there are as many options as possible for each choice, but to finish the story of each storyline.

A non-branching module is a single module that does not provide options.
It has the style of an orange arrow.
Click “+” at the tail of the module to create an option branch.
Without opening the branch, it has only one main plot.
After opening the branch, you can add branching plots.
(note: a maximum of 4 option branches are supported under one plot module)
Each branch requires you to set the copywriting for this option.
The branch module includes two types: “plot branch module” and “jump branch module”.
For the plot branch module, you need to set up module copywriting and plot material.
For jump branch modules, you can link directly to the established modules (no need to set up module copywriting).
Please click to select the target module of the jump (it is not supported to set the jump target to the immediate parent node).

Click the module section to enter the option editing interface.
In addition to setting “text options”, you can also select “Anchor Point options” or “enable option countdown” function.
- The branch will be turned on by default when creating the plot module / jump module.
- The option countdown function is turned on by default, and the default option you set will be automatically selected after the 5s countdown is over.
- After manually closing the branch, the plot module corresponding to option A will be retained and its selection will be deleted, and the modules you need will be adjusted by sorting.
After opening the branch, the upper limit of options is 4.
When the countdown is enabled, the default “A option” is the default option, and other options can be modified to the default option.
Numeric values created by advanced features allow you to control the conditions for the occurrence of options in more settings, as well as the numerical changes after selecting options.
Note: when setting the wrong options, it is necessary to deduce what happens next in the options according to the specific circumstances, which will test the creator’s storytelling ability and knowledge reserve.
After closing the branch, this module will become a single main line. Other branches will be deleted.
After enabling the option countdown function, you need to select the default option.
After the countdown is over, if the viewer still does not make a choice, the player will automatically select the default option branch.
The function of the non-branch module is mainly used for: after the end of the current sub-plot progress, jump directly to the next plot module, but will not provide A, B, C, D options.
If you want to deepen the impact of each option on the plot, you can also turn on “advanced features” to set values for the options.
Depending on the final accumulated value, the player will eventually get a different finale.
This value is often used in the affection value between male and female protagonists and other types of games.
With advanced features, you can set hidden plots, such as branching options that are probabilistic.
If your hidden options are cleverly designed, your interactive videos will be replayable.
The audience will have a second or third time.

Preview and check the plot line.
If the current video card is the ending of the storyline, click on the video card to set the current video as the ending.
The video card that has been set as the ending cannot set subsequent content or jump.

Submit the plot tree.
In the process of plot editing, the plot tree is saved automatically.
If you click the “History” button, it will go back to the historically preserved plot tree.
After editing all the plots, click the “Preview” button in the upper right corner to try it out.
After you confirm that the content is correct, click “submit” to submit the content of the plot tree.
