On June 26, 2020, speaker and New York Times best-selling author—and favorite Christian “heretic”—Jen Hatmaker tweeted a link to a podcast episode where she talks to her daughter who has come out as gay.

Well, as you might have guessed, the Christian fundamentalist Twitter trolls came out en force. They threw at Jen and her daughter all the usual suspects of Bible verses condemning the homosexual lifestyle. The smell of pride and arrogance was palpable. They were being good stewards of God’s word in publicly condemning this woman and her daughter.

  • Numerous tweets about Christ, God, and their favorite Bible verses
  • Twitter descriptions proclaiming their faith, marital status, and/or their love of this country
