Trump Is Indeed Blessed by “God”

But it’s not the “God” you’re thinking of

At his inauguration, Trump said that he was saved by God to make America great again. This isn’t the first time he’s implied he’s God anointed. He’s also not alone in that belief. Tens of millions of evangelical Christians in America also believe he’s been blessed by God and chosen for such a time as this.

Honestly, you can’t blame anyone for thinking that. There’s no scandal or transgression he can do that hurts his popularity. He could, as he bragged (on a Christian campus no less), stand on 5th avenue, shoot people, and not lose any votes.

He had what is demonstrably the most impressive political comeback in American history. The man literally incited an insurrection against this country, was impeached twice, was on a path to being convicted for said insurrection, convicted on 34 felony counts, found libel for sexual assault, had a disastrous debate performance against Kamala Harris (“they’re eating the cats, they’re eating the dogs”), and yet still went on to win the 2024 election, including winning the coveted popular voted (albeit, just barely).

It would appear that God has indeed put his hand on Trump.
