We are Warsaw Ghetto Warriors

I wear the Star of David for my people
crushed beneath the weight of oppressors
who have come and gone
destroyed us and come undone

I wear the Star of David for my people
who went like sheep to the slaughter:
babies, children, women, and men
who had nothing left to defend

I wear the Star of David for my people
who fight like warriors of the Warsaw Ghetto
even when the world can’t stand to see us win
we protect our homeland
because it is all we have left
