Today on 14th March 2018 at the main hall of University of Helsinki main building we were proud to witness the first public appearance of an Intergalactico’s full stack designer, Rami Ertimo. He was not there alone.

Rami was on stage of the Design Systems Conference 2018 discussing the design systems implementation and inception work he’d been partial to with Mikko Häkkinen of Elisa Oyj and at Elisa Oyj. Rami was also involved in organizing the event by supporting Mikko and others at Elisa.

Rami was keenly observed by close to 400 people attended the great program built around the theme of design systems. The sold out full day event was constructed with 10 talks from both renowned domestic as well as international companies. The represented companies included Amazon, IBM, Salesforce, Eight Shapes, Elisa and AirBnB — just to name a few.

Of course we had a good bunch of Intergalactico designers in the audience as well, equipped with cameras!

The included too many exciting talks to be listed here. My favorite was, in addition to sweet words from Rami, the keynote from Nathan Curtis, one the design systems people in the world.

Tomorrow we’re hosting our own design systems workshop at the brand new Intergalactico office in Kamppi, Helsinki. However, we are pleased and sorry to inform you that our workshop was sold out the first among the DSConf events. So if you just now learned about it, it is too late. However, don’t fall into despair as we’ve got another, revised edition of a Design Systems workshop using React and Playbook coming around in June!!!

Check out our workshop offering from out new website and collect your ticket with an early bird price today!
