Interlay at Messari Mainnet 2023
Interlay made big waves in the ecosystem as Co-Founder Alexei Zamyatin was part of Bitcoin focused panel at Messari’s Mainnet Conference 2023.
The discussion revolved around how builders are ending Bitcoin’s great stagnation. It was attended by over 2000 attendants.
Bounty proposal for Banxa Onramp Parachain asset integration
Interlay is excited to be spearheading the efforts to bring Fiat on-ramp service & integration for 20 parachains and in the Polkadot ecosystem
The Bounty proposal went live on the Polkadot OpenGov & is open for voting.
Integrations
Interlay’s iBTC support on Moonbeam
Interlay’s iBTC was up against wBTC in a poll by OrbiterOne for deployment support on Moonbeam.
To no surprise, iBTC won comfortably. Another step towards wider iBTC adoption.
Native USDC support now on Interlay
USDC will unlock many use cases on Interlay :
- As collateral for iBTC (its wrapped Bitcoin token) on Interlay Vault
- USDC lending and borrowing within the Interlay DeFi Hub
- Participation opportunities for DeFi users through Liquidity Pools

Interlay x BTC Startup Lab Twitter Space
Interlay in association with BTC Startup Lab conducted the Interlay Office Hours on 14th September as part of our participation in the Bitcoin Olympics Hackathon.

It was a busy month of governance with some important referendums & discussions.

vDOT Vaults on Interlay
The proposal to register the vDOT asset from Bifrost and enables it to be used as collateral for Vaults was passed. The thresholds are set to the same as those used for DOT.

This referendum proposed a Runtime Upgrade 1.25.2 which introduced a bunch of changes & updates to improve the security of the network and fix bugs related to the vault.

With the aim of making the Interlay website more accessible to the international community, it is proposed to implement multilingual support. The current version of the site supports only English, limiting accessibility for users who speak other languages.
