Announcing our next Scavenger Hunt

Almost 6 weeks have passed since we ran our Demo Scavenger Hunt in August. This was a small test that aimed at testing our product — in game plugin, dApp and smart contracts — for the first time while also proving the scavenger hunt concept on a gameplay viewpoint — eg, answer the question: can this be fun? It was a good success, with more than 500 participants and an overall fun and interesting event.
Today we are happy to announce that the long awaited Scavenger Hunt will take place on Sunday 3 October 2021, at 16:00 UTC (so 9:00 in L.A., 12:00 in New-York, 18:00 in Paris, 21:30 in New Delhi and 23:00 in Hanoi).
It will feature 5 keys, hidden in 5 games, this time at various place on the internet. Importantly, for the first time it will feature games developed by our partners — 3 of these 5 games. This is an important difference, because it further proves our concept of decentralized game design — that we can create a coherent gameplay from apps and games made by developers with almost no coordination. There are only video games this time, no key hidden on the web or on social media websites. Now to the more important question…
What are the prizes?
The prize table is similar to the Demo Hunt. This may sound underwhelming, but there are two reasons for that: we actually gave a much bigger prize than expected for the Demo, and ISH has almost tripled in value since the day of the Demo Hunt (indeed at the time it was not liquid at all so one could argue not worth anything at all). How to play?
This time the hunt is open to everyone, there will be no whitelist. One condition though: at the time of the Hunt you need to hold at least 5,000 ISH on your wallet. If you don’t you will get an error when you try to start the hunt.
You should play our demo — or at least find the first keys — to learn how things work exactly. This is a new, unusual concept and we get a lot of questions from first time players, you don’t want to discover this the day of the Hunt! You can also read our tutorial:
So here we are. This is an important step for us in term of proving our concept and our technology, and it will also be a stressful moment in particular for our tech team.
