Randolph Ugochukwu is a Software Developer, Automobile engineer, and an Entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in Software Programming and Computer Architecture. He started coding back in the good old days of the C programming language; when, in his words “The semi-colon was the champion of hide and seek; During those days, debugging computer programs was a “Nightmare”.

He acquired his first computer in 1985, an Altair 8080 widely recognized back then as the spark that ignited the microcomputer revolution and as the first commercially successful personal computer. When asked about how he felt after acquiring the Altair 8080, he jokingly said “I got free drinks just because I had a computer system! Computers were rare then”.

One of the most interesting things about Mr. Randolph is the fact that he is a versatile person; very knowledgeable in so many areas of life.

Mr. Randolph believes Nigerian Software Developers should learn problem solving skills before language syntax to build standard software applications without relying on too much foreign resources. He argues that the average Nigerian Developers can build even better Frameworks and Software than what is obtainable now. One concept associated with him is the “Ugo Effect” which is characterized by learning something new each time you listen or engage in a conversation with him.
