I have had the pleasure of starting a graphic novel discussion group partnered with the Northbrook Public Library. Our next session will be help at North Shore Comics Inc. in Northbrook at 7 pm on December 15th. This time we are focusing on Eisner Award Winners. There is a detailed list of the readings on the library’s website or can be found here:

The focus of the group is to bring people of all different walks of life together to discuss either books that they have read or for them to find out about new ones. With the surge of comic book based movies many people have asked about the source material in which the movies are based. This is where we hope to show the differences and similarities between the original comics and the modern films, movies, and television shows that are currently out. We will be having another group in February. Our hope is to have it every other month. All participants will be given 25% off during the discussion group and all Dominican students get discounts with their ID. Hope to see some of you there!
