Why I Am Taking a Temporary Hiatus From Medium
January 2025 blogging reports and my plan to stabilize my income.
Big changes are coming.
I’ve been a writer on Medium for half a decade, and it has been a transformative journey.
It was my first glimpse at potential financial freedom from blogging as my Medium Partner earnings grew from cents to dollars to hundreds of dollars.
2024 was very much a breakthrough year where I earned over a hundred dollars every month for the first time from Medium and uncovered a strategy that made my article earnings much more consistent.
However, although the earnings grew, the rate was far too slow.
In the latter half of 2024, I began writing on Seeking Alpha and making YouTube videos.
Seeking Alpha was a platform I wanted to write on because of the fixed payments they offered for particular articles.
I had already been writing about investing on Medium, and I knew that earning more than $20 on every article was a difficult challenge. Seeking Alpha offered minimum fixed payments of $45 to cover various investments.
YouTube was also an unexpected, immediate success.
