DEAR FRIENDS!

This instruction is a guarantee of your and our safety. The organizers, volunteers and police are making every effort to ensure the March is running peacefully and without any provocations.

TIME OF THE MARCH

March KharkivPride 2021 will take place on September 12 at 12:00PM EEST.
It is very important to arrive on time, or even a few minutes earlier. Before the march, you will be able to meet the volunteers of your column and get yourself oriented at the location.

PLACE OF THE MARCH

At the moment, the venue is being agreed upon with the police. We understand that this may take some time. We assure you that as soon as we have the information, you will be informed immediately!

VOLUNTEERS

There will be volunteers among us, whom you can easily recognize by bright vests and stickers. It is necessary to unquestioningly follow their instructions. They should be contacted for any help or information. It is also important to report strange or dangerous situations to them.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BEHAVIOR BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THE MARCH

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Do not wear rainbow symbols when getting to the March, take them with you to put up/dress/draw on the spot.
  • List of items to take with you: identity card, mask, sanitizer, plastic bottle with still water; snack (energy bar, candy, etc.), cash, in particular, small bills (for example, for a taxi or metro)
  • Charge and put up money on your mobile phone in advance
  • If you are taking scheduled medication — take it with you.
  • Bring an umbrella in case of unexpected rainfall.
  • Uber, Uklon and Bolt services operate in Kharkiv. Download the respective apps, or use taxi numbers — 3040, 2002, 838, etc.
  • At the end of the march, remove the rainbow symbols, leave or hide posters and banners, clearly follow the instructions of the volunteers and the organizers. The police are currently developing a safe scenario for the end of the march — we will let you know the details as soon as we know.

AT THE MARCH: WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

  • Carefully follow and execute the instructions of the volunteers and the organizers.
  • Keep the distance between the rows. At the same time, do not stretch too much.
  • If protesters against the March try to snatch a flag or a poster from you — do not resist, give it away.
  • Treat the police, the press and other participants in the March with respect.
  • If you are carrying a banner or poster, remember that you will most likely be photographed and noticed. If you do not want it — do not take them. If you are physically tired of carrying them, pass them on to others.

AFTER THE MARCH

  • At the end of the March, be especially vigilant — you may be given more attention as a participant in the March.
  • When leaving the March, follow all the instructions of the organizers, the volunteers and police officers.
  • Do not go alone. Ask the volunteers for instructions on leaving — leave the March only in small groups (up to 10 people).
  • If you notice unwanted attention from strangers, go to a public place — a cafe, a bank, or a shop. If this person is far enough, you can also board public transport. If you think you are being harassed, ask the staff to call the police, or call them yourself
    (102 — police, 103 — ambulance, 112 — mobile emergency number).
  • If you are travelling from the March by public transport and you feel that you may be accompanied by unwanted people, change the bus or metro line.
  • Avoid walking downtown — after the March, the center can be filled with some dissatisfied and aggressive people.
