Statement on Ukraine

In response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, InterPride issued the following statement:

InterPride condemns Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and joins others in calling on Russia to cease its violent attack on an independent nation.

The war that is currently unfolding is devastating, and our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine. Situations like these often have an increased impact on vulnerable groups, like the LGBTQIA+ community.

InterPride would like to show our support for our partners, Kyiv Pride and Kharkiv Pride, during this time. We want to help in any way, so a portion of the proceeds raised during our upcoming Silence to Solidarity Global Concert will go to these two organizations.

We hope that this contribution will help Kyiv Pride and Kharkiv Pride support and provide assistance to the local Ukrainian LGBTQIA+ community.
