Facebook Blocked Me From Speaking The Truth
Free Expression is Dead
Okay, now I’m officially scared. This is ridiculous. I’m just a middle-aged, white-presenting, mixed-race woman who lives in a country where, apparently, Freedom of Expression is a thing.
It’s even in the Constitution. It’s Section 2. Look it up.
Mark Zuckerberg didn’t get the memo.
I’m not over woke. I’m awake but not awake. I’m fiscally conservative but absolutely not socially conservative. I see myself as a reasonable fu*king person. My thing is, don’t screw with my money and let people live how they want in dignity.
Black, white, gay, straight, trans, Brown, Asian. Okay, no problem. I’m here for you.
So, imagine my surprise when Facebook blocked a comment on a thread in which I was attempting to build a bridge between the Black and First Nations communities.
