The Sewing Rebellion is a nonprofit organization that encourages people to upcycle their clothes by offering free sewing lessons. The organization is based in Long Beach, California, but they offer classes nationwide. One of the organizationʻs volunteers, Ziba Zehdar, leads free sewing classes every Thursday at the Los Angeles Public Library Baldwin Hills branch. Zehdar said the classes are open to anyone, whether or not they have sewing experience. More information on the Sewing Rebellion and their free sewing classes can be found on their Facebook page.
