We are thrilled to introduce you to our all-new Interswitch Engineering blog.
Over the years, Interswitch Group has popularly been known as a payment company or a FinTech organization, what many do not know is that technology has always and continue to be one of our core priorities, with over a 100+ (and growing) in-house Software Engineers, Software Architects, DevOps Engineers, System Analysts, Software Test Analysts, Network Engineers, etc. we are proudly a technology company and have been so from the onset.
We set out in 2002 to solve payment challenges while bridging the gap experienced in seamless payment. And over the years, we have successfully put out several innovative payment products and services that continually empower Nigerians and create an Africa where payment is an invisible part of our everyday life.
At Interswitch, we practice an amazing tech culture while constantly working on edge breaking and modern technologies, and to that, we choose to share with the larger developer community our learnings and findings where we’ll focus on software engineering (concepts, techniques, best practices, personalities, etc.). We also aim to tell stories about our successes, pains and lessons we’ve learnt over the years with our infrastructure, technology stack, products and people. We’ll talk on our interaction with Web and Mobile technologies, Blockchain, Big data, Bots, Artificial Intelligence and many more.
Our engineering blog would also give insights to our Engineering problem-solving approach at Interswitch and share our experience building, running and scaling our products and infrastructure: the challenges we have faced with Software Architecture, Team Structure and Software Engineering philosophies. Our intention is not to solely preach our methods as we consider ourselves continuous learners, but we’ll describe the problems we have seen and share how our context influenced our decision-making.
