Day Fifteen — Gratitude — 25 Days of Simplicity

I center my joy and pleasure.
I center my joy and pleasure.
I center my joy and pleasure.

Accessing joy and pleasure on the daily is truly a radical act of liberation. This practice ensures that in all that I do, in all commitments I make, that I am having fun. And if I’m not, I have permission to change course. I was turned on to this practice in 2017 and the years thereafter during big moments of growth and transition.

This is truly a radical act, particularly for those of us who have been told to negate one’s own self and center the joy and pleasure of a dominant other.

This spiritual act of centering joy and pleasure is a giant yes to the miracle of this body, this life, this earth.

How might this practice also open us up to a greater compassion?
How might our lives attune through a mutual joy and pleasure?

Practice this liberating act this week. And don’t forget gratitude — a joyful and pleasure-filled act in and of itself!

Peace, breath, joy and pleasure with you today
