IWD2019 at #HKBlockchainWeek

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2019, intimate.io co-founder Leah Callon-Butler was invited to speak alongside a stellar lineup of women in tech for an official side event as part of Hong Kong Blockchain Week.

Hosted by Source Capital and sponsored by C Block Capital, Crypto IB and Tokenization Limited, the Blockchain Wonder Women Networking Night saw a FABULOUS turnout of over 100 women — and men — in blockchain.

Girls just wanna discuss the future of decentralisation #IWD2019

Esther Ng and Renu Bhatia started the local female networking initiative to provide a platform for women in blockchain to come together, share experiences, ideas and learning — and most importantly — to support each other. They are planning to focus on the Greater Bay Area of Hong Kong as well as wider Asia.

SMILES ALL ROUND

Just for fun, intimate.io hosted a competition on the night for event attendees to come up with a name for the next vibrator in the Smile Makers collection.

Smile Makers is a Singapore-based designer and retailer of women’s pleasure massagers that recently partnered with intimate.io to offer their customers an option to pay in cryptocurrency when buying a vibrator (read more about the launch of the intimate.io payment gateway here).
