Welcome to another IntoTheVerse Journal!

A metaverse that is focused on creating utility, and impact and provides players with total control.

“Great discoveries and improvements invariably involve the cooperation of many minds.” (Alexander Graham Bell)

Read about our journey!

It’s been an incredible journey for IntoTheVerse since our humble beginnings as hopeful Celo Camp Batch 4 applicants in 2021. Building on Celo has enabled us to work within a supportive, innovative environment and has taught us many valuable lessons that we have incorporated into our company’s ethos, such as integrity, honesty, accountability, teamwork, and respect. 🤗

We would like to express our gratitude to Flori Ventures and the community for always backing and supporting young builders like us after the Celo Camp.

Flori Ventures — Our biggest believer since day one
IntoTheVerse Workspace

From our first days as an emerging start-up, we have been lucky enough to learn, collaborate and work alongside other incredible Web3 innovators, who have been a constant source of inspiration to us.

Pedro Oliviera at Talent Protocol, shared invaluable advice, on attracting initial funding through angel investment, testing, and developing our concept, and finding a good product-market fit. He helped us build initial connections that opened us up to incredible opportunities that enabled IntoTheVerse to expand and grow as a company.

Alex Rodriguez at Arigallery taught us the importance of having a good work ethic, and to build a strong understanding of community values. His mission to onboard real-world undiscovered artists in Web3 also encouraged us to incorporate real-world attributes in our own metaverse.

Thomas Negrit at Flywallet helped IntoTheVerse travel to their first-ever Celo Connect conference in Barcelona and illustrated how travel could be revolutionized through gaming; by driving real-world adoption of cryptocurrency to help make travel accessible for all. He encouraged us to begin thinking about how we could innovate cryptocurrency rewards in our Web3 gaming platform, by tying players’ commitment to helping our world to their avatar reputation.

The Celo HQ inspired by Celo’s mission

We quickly realized our success in building a metaverse in the Web3 space would require collaboration and positive relationships with other Web3 companies. This is because each company brings new insights into the decentralized technology that powers Web3.

To celebrate this collaboration, we have chosen to work with Web3 companies that promote sustainability, accessibility, economic viability, environmental protection, and social equity. Here’s a sneak peek at the amazing Web3 companies that make our metaverse a truly unforgettable immersive space. 👇👇👇

Flywallet

What is Flywallet? ✈️

Flywallet combines secure, user-friendly Web3 blockchain technology with carbon-offsetting capabilities to make travel more accessible and to protect the planet. It offers users, a gamified savings account to search and organize their travel needs; and gives them peace of mind because money from every booking is sent directly to support ongoing environmental projects.

Flywallet Dashboard

What have we designed for Flywallet?

We decided to design an airport focused on green architecture, which symbolizes Flywallet’s aim to offset carbon emissions, for every flight that is booked on their system.

We also included the Celo Dollar on the roof of the airport to illustrate the integration of Celo stablecoins, as a green and affordable cryptocurrency travel alternative.

The runway, with airplanes, waiting to take flight, celebrates Flywallet being chosen to be part of the first cohort, of Expedia Group’s, VP of Global Social Impact and Sustainability incentive.

How does it work?

We decided to use Flywallet to give real-world utility to players inside our metaverse and to be rewarded for choosing a carbon-neutral and sustainable way to travel.

We designed the Flywallet airport to give avatars a real-world experience, through gamification, where they can walk in and view travel information, receive the latest real-time updates about Flywallet, and enjoy the ability to save cUSD 💲, and incentivize saving habits, within the metaverse, as they plan their next trip, whilst also undergoing a fun gaming adventure.

The process is simple, players will be able to use the Flywallet cUSD deposits/savings contract to save and monitor their progress. Successful savers will also receive rewards, such as vouchers airdropped into their wallets, or long-term discounts and loyalty points.

For every deposit saved, a player’s avatar reputation contract score will also appreciate in value, allowing them to unlock new and additional incentives within the metaverse.

Impact Market (ReFi/UBI/Education)

What is Impact Market?

Impact Market is a blockchain-based protocol that empowers people and creates positive social and environmental impact through impact investing and sustainability reporting. It offers accessible financial solutions and allows investors to track the impact of their investments in real time.

Impact Market Map

What have we designed for Impact Market?

We decided to design a round domed building, to illustrate Impact Market’s innovative, international, impactful, and transparent nature. The architecture is inspired by Barco headquarters in Belgium and has a glazed facade, which allows natural light to permeate inside the interiors. This emphasizes the transparent nature of Impact Market’s Protocol, whereby they highlight and aid vulnerable communities around the world, in a verifiable fashion on Celo’s Blockchain.

Ukraine, India, Philippines, Brazil, Kenya, and Venezuela, represent some of the major regions/communities where Impact Market has strived to make positive change, by implementing an unconditional basic income and introducing $PACT, their governance token, which people can receive as a reward when donating to the UBI communities and as they implement stake to gain.

How does it work?

We decided to use Impact Market because we wanted to allow our players to become directly involved in initiatives that make a lasting, positive, socio-economic difference in the world.

Impact Market’s transparency and accountability protocol enable players to track and monitor where their investments are being utilized, and because its decision-making power is held by its community of investors and impact initiatives, it gives our players the potential to make real-world changes, whilst enjoying a gaming adventure. It also brings like-minded people together to work toward a common goal, and extend the reach of life-changing initiatives.

The idea was inspired during our initial developments at Celo Camp Batch 4

We designed the Impact Market building so players can walk in and enjoy a real-world experience of contributing to positive, impact-driven incentives, receive real-time updates, and be able to access gamified Impact Learn & Earn bounties from their metaverse experience.

The process is simple, players of the IntoTheVerse community will be able to donate UBI in cUSD to ImpactMarket DAO for their initiatives, as they go about the game.

Players who contribute will receive in-game benefits, such as reduced city taxes for citizens (friendly tax evasions) and they can claim Impact NFTs. They will also be able to receive discounts on game collectibles, such as farming raw materials, goods, tools, etc., based on Impact NFTs they own.

Players’ donations will also help appreciate their score on the ReFi Score Reputation contract, helping them level up their avatars within the game.

Spirals (ReFi/Impact) 🌱

What is Spirals?

Spirals Protocol is designed to help curate, high-impact climate-focused green initiatives and projects to raise funds in a transparent and equitable way, through secure token sales.

They use smart contracts and decentralized technologies to streamline the process and increase transparency, whilst promoting safe ways to heal the planet through decentralized applications.

Spirals Protocol

What have we designed for Spirals?

Our Spirals Protocol building was inspired by artwork shared by Douglas Qian, one of the co-founders at Spirals Protocol. We wanted to add a solar punk dimension to the metaverse, whereby we imagine a societal and economic structure in harmony with nature.

Speed Design of Spirals Protocol — SolarPunk-theme architecture

Spirals Gala Hall was designed with numerous chambers, so it can provide players with information about different projects they support to help prevent climate change and protect our environment.

How does it work?

We decided to use Spirals Protocol because we wanted to raise the visibility of various impact and regenerative non-governmental organizations that are striving to promote environmental impact through reforestation, pollution prevention, and plastic elimination efforts.

The integration of the Spirals Protocol with decentralized finance (DeFi) applications could open up new additional opportunities for virtual finance in the metaverse, enabling users to lend and borrow from virtual platforms, in a secure manner. This could potentially create new opportunities for growth and innovation in the metaverse ecosystem.

Check out some of Spirals Protocol’s funded projects:

We designed the Spirals Protocol building so players can walk in and find different climate impact organizations they want to support, while also earning incentives, such as friendly green credits; and participate in the spirals governance through their contribution within the game.

As our metaverse evolves, we want players’ avatars to transform from contemporary/present-day humans to solar punk avatars. They will be able to do this by claiming collectible solar punk kits and be able to start their own climate-impact civilizations within our world-builder lands.

The process is simple. Players will be able to stake funds to the Spirals contract. They will also receive a staking impact ReFi score, which will appreciate over time, and be visible on their avatar.

Spirals (ReFi/Impact) Building

In conclusion, by working together, Web3 companies can create new ground-breaking innovations, establish a unified set of standards and protocols that can be adopted across the industry, and push the boundaries in development that would just not be possible through individual efforts alone. Within our metaverse, we hope to initiate this positive change, and to champion and celebrate the incredible companies and individuals, paving the way to a cleaner, safer, and more inclusive world.

We have only given you a fleeting glimpse into all the amazing collaborations, building, news, and updates we are doing at IntoTheVerse, so stay tuned to find out more about our journey as we get closer to our launch later this year.
