Leveling Up: A Year of Achievements at IntoTheVerse in 2023!
GM fellow gamers! Buckle up your seat belts because we are about to take you on a rollercoaster ride through the wild, wacky, and wonderfully epic year we have had at IntoTheVerse in 2023. From pixelated dreams to code-fueled magic, join us in this yearly recap extravaganza as we rewind, replay, and reminisce about the epic quests, boss battles, and game-changing moments that defined our quirky journey through the gaming galaxy.
Visionary Evolution:
With a vision to revolutionise the gaming industry, 2023 saw the transition of IntoTheVerse from a dream of two driven founders to an efficient company of ambitious people encapsulating the broader goals of the company. For the uninitiated, IntoTheVerse, as of today, is a blockchain gaming company building mobile-first games on multiple chains targeting the best of the world of gaming coupled with the endless possibilities that blockchain technology brings with it.
Intrant Inferis Soft Pre-Alpha Launch:
One of the first and major highlights of 2023 was the soft pre-alpha launch of Intrant Inferis, an underworld rogue-like dungeon action RPG game being developed on Solana, at Solana Breakpoint in Amsterdam. Having participated in the Solana summer camp hackathon in 2022 to build Solana RPG quest on desktop browsers, the same has expanded to what we are calling today as Intrant Inferis after having won the gaming track with a grant of 50k USD from the Solana Foundation. Providing the ultimate gaming experience is always on the cards here and Intrant Inferis aims to do exactly that, working with some of the best gaming infrastructure powered by Solana. A visually appealing game, backed by insane creative lore and coupled with sufficient on-chain logic, received its first public feedback this year, fortifying the overall vision to provide gamers with the future of gaming.
Global Connections and Industry Presence:
Our founders visited the Google APAC HQ, Singapore for the Web3 Gaming week in June, organised by the Pit and Jump Crypto, and made new connections across different web3 ecosystems during the 4 day conference, and hackathon.
Hackathon Triumphs and Technical Prowess:
2023 was a year of massive success at numerous hackathons and accelerators for the team. After graduating from Solana University’s community run accelerator, and presenting an early version of Intrant Inferis game in August 2023, the team visited Token2049 week at Singapore where they emerged victorious at Aptos Hack Singapore, with a gaming grant of 30k USD, kickstarting our journey on Aptos (winner), and followed by the Algorand Build-a-Bull Hackathon saw the team win the runners up in the gaming track with a 10k USD (runner up) respectively, leading to the development of entirely new games on the respective ecosystem. Props to our talented game design and development team, we also won the games track sponsored by the Flow Foundation during the Chainlink spring hackathon, and received an honourable mention at Solana Hyperdrive Hackathon.
Community Engagement and Workshops:
The team was also present at Aptos Dev Day during India Blockchain Week and Algorand Impact Summit this year, where we made remarkable connections in the industry. IntoTheVerse danced around with Sui network too and built Sui farm rpg, a farming and resource management game powered by Sui move and Sui Unity SDK at Unfold 2023, Bangalore organised by Devfolio.

Our development team flexed their technical prowess at multiple other hackathons including, but not limited to, Chainlink Spring hackathon 2023 and Wormhole Miami hackathon, amongst others, with victories in several providing the team with grants from there as well.
Partnerships Galore:
Thought provoking AMAs, engaging speaker sessions and in-depth workshops kept the team busy this year. Few notable mentions definitely include Zen Republic, The Vorld and Panzerdogs where we dived deep into the world of on-chain gaming. Exploring the Aptos ecosystem with Spookslabs and Aptos India was definitely a highlight for us. Our CEO, Elio Jordan Lopes, was also a speaker at Solana Breakpoint where he talked about the significance of youth in web3. The team also reached out internationally to students with workshops on web3 game development, community building as well as getting started with a gaming startup, thanks to Web3Assam, and engineering colleges in India amongst others.
A gaming studio needs a roster of awesome players to clinch victory. Partnerships with guilds and studios including Yield Guild Games, Avisa Gaming Guild, Trikon Studio and Asvarium opened new communities for us to explore and get feedback from. Technical as well as strategic partnerships definitely made 2023 an exciting year for the team.
What’s Next in 2024:
So what is next? 2023 was merely a teaser to what the community can expect from the house of IntoTheVerse in 2024. With new partnerships with engaging chains such as Nibiru Chain as well as robust progress in our design and development teams, 2024 will be a year filled with intense reveals, public releases, testing and reception of multiple games, a whole lot of learning and discussions and, most importantly, staying true to our vision of heralding the ultimate gaming experience. Many of our games, including the ones on Solana, Aptos, Celo and Algorand, will see the light of the day within the first two quarters of 2024. New partnership announcements are already underway.
