In the desolate world of Cryptara, the Great Eclipse stands as a symbol of fleeting unity and power. Occurring every four years, it is a time when the harsh sunlight dims, and the factions gather in a tense truce, sharing tales and resources, and preparing for the challenges ahead.
There are whispers of a prophecy, foretelling a time when the factions must unite under the Eclipse’s shadow to face an existential threat, learning to combine their unique strengths to survive.
Cryptara has three dominant factions that are constantly fighting to gather survival resources. Resources are scarce and essential for survival in the harsh environment of Cryptara. There are three dominant and unique factions in the world of Cryptara — the Guardians, the Raiders, and the Kleptos.
A clan of raiders has taken over the Circuit of Echoes — an underground network of tunnels protecting and echoing the secrets of Cryptara. There is some tension between the factions. A new enemy is lurking for the opportunity to attack. Join us to see if they will unite to defend Cryptara.
What is Cryptara Conquest?
Cryptara Conquest is a 2D survival RPG game. Inspired by classics like Enter The Gungeon, the game’s mechanics are centered around bullet hell rogue-like elements and involve resource collection, item forging, monster and boss battles, and in-game collectible purchases, all packed together inside a thrilling dynamic gameplay.
Cryptara Conquest takes place in a desolate world where three dominant factions fight to gather survival resources. The ultimate epic survival RPG will keep you on your feet as you navigate an unforgiving world.
Cryptara is a genesis block for IntoTheVerse’s future games. Everything starts in Cryptara, and this is your opportunity to grab your front-row tickets to the onchain world of fun.

Why now and why Eclipse?
Creating a 2D survival RPG game driven by storytelling and adventure combines classic appeal with modern survival mechanics. Featuring survival PvE modes, resource collection, item forging, monster battles, boss fights, and collectible purchases, all within a single game application and governed by on-chain smart contracts is not as easy as it looks. Integrating life and impermanent-death mechanics and automated reward distribution for weekly tournaments add another challenge for the developers at IntoTheVerse.
Eclipse’s usage of the SVM makes it compatible with any smart contract written on Solana by default. There has been a lot of innovation on Solana over the years, especially in game tooling. Importing all the necessary tools to Eclipse for building a fun and seamless experience is the best thing a game developer can ask for! Features such as parallel execution and isolated fee markets, along with its usage of Celestia, a purpose-built DA layer, enable such a large game state with such frequent interactions and changes to be technically and economically possible. This helped us to choose Eclipse as the network for developing complex and interactive fully on-chain gaming mechanisms for Cryptara Conquest.
What tools do we have in our Arsenal?
Unity as the game development engine was a no-brainer for us to build Cryptara Conquest. The game is being built to give the best gaming experience along with smooth gameplay and the best UX.
Magicblock Labs Unity SDK
Magicblock Unity SDK helps us to integrate blockchain technologies into our Unity-based games. This integration enables us to leverage blockchain features such as smart contracts, token swaps, and on-chain player score management, thereby enhancing the gaming experience.
🎮 Calling Solana Programs: We are using the SDK to easily interact with Solana blockchain programs directly from the game.
🎮 Calling Custom Smart Contracts: We also use the SDK to execute custom smart contracts developed by us, providing flexibility and customizability.
🎮 Token Swaps: Facilitates in-game token exchanges, enhancing the game’s economy.
🎮 Player in-game reputation using SOAR: SOAR helps us to manage player scores on-chain, enabling secure and transparent leaderboards through Solana Onchain Achievement and Rewards (SOAR).
🎮 Session Keys: Originally developed by Gum and now maintained by Magicblocks, Session Keys allow for the creation of a session for players. This feature signs all transactions within the session, so players don’t have to sign each transaction individually.
Rarible
We are excited to announce the launch of the open edition Cryptara Conquest Access Pass on the Ethereum mainnet, in anticipation of the Eclipse Network mainnet launch. This collaboration with Rarible, a leading aggregated marketplace, aims to bootstrap our community of NFT collectors, pixel-art enthusiasts, creators, gamers, and airdrop farmers in preparation for the game’s release.
