So over the past months, we have been dedicating significant efforts to enhancing our methodology. At this point, we are pleased to announce that we will be launching a revamped price assessment methodology by 2024-Q1.
The revamped Price Assessment Methodology will bring the improvements below:
- Greater use of futures contract data
- Standardization/detailing of assessments
- Gathering of trade data with higher granularity
- Improved use of mathematical modelling
These improvements will result in:
- More reliable price assessments, i.e., price movements will better reflect the market behavior.
- Greater consistency between assessments, i.e., price assessments for a given commodity, in different locations, will be more consistent.
- Clearer and more detailed descriptions of assessments.
