In a very short time so much damage can be done
So much damage that can take a lifetime to erase
But over time if you are lucky and you are surrounded by people who care
Just like the ashes from the flames
The past can simply blow away and be gone forever
Funny thing about the past
In an instant it is gone
And we walk away ready to begin again
