I prefer city ambiance
and nature silence
’cause all songs do
is to remind me of you.

I prefer a spoon of rice
and a drop of water
‘cause all food does
is to make me miss you.

I prefer a newspaper
written there, old news
‘cause all books do
is to read me our past.

I used to prefer you
over anything therein
but my heart screamed
inside your hands.
