May the spring bring you flowers

On hope. — A Poem

Enjoy love while you have it
as well as happiness
for once they disappear
they may as well go away.

They move as the ebb of the ocean
it seems beyond our control
as is the path of a storm
reaching towards our shores.

The caprice of the soul
builds and then destroys
where there was once love
there is now left a void.

For the tears are not falling
and the touch is no more
not the passionate one
nor the holding of hands.

You can wait for the seasons
to turn once again
let the cold of the winter
pass and wait for the spring.

May the spring bring you flowers
and new children perhaps
may your love be perennial
and your lovers come back.
