Baby I was waiting in the night
We were meant to be together
Were you ready for affections rite?
Touching journey on forever
In endless night, we caress in flight
The love connects us together
Dark night ends burning in morning light

Can you love me in this place?
You will never touch my face
Feel only love’s ending light
It is crossing stars in flight

I was above watching over you
Can you ever know my love true?
Hear me whispering when you are blue
The tears I wipe on days you rue
Pounding grinding trust away was klue
Of the pain inflicted on you
My love was powerless to pursue
Heart was broken remaining true

Can you love me in this place?
You will never touch my face
Feel only love’s ending light
It is crossing stars in flight.

*This poem was inspired by Kesha’s song Supernatural. I was watching an old talkshow episode where she was discussing having sex with a ghost and was kind of intrigued by this idea. I was imagining this relationship from the ghost’s point of view.
