Shelved Doll

Deep Sea Vermillion
Intrinsically Difficult

Take a rib from the moment to
Adorn my schema of life
Bigger, it grows, the more bones
Grotesque, more, but here we are, it’s my vision
A sidewalk vein of life, one song in its refrain
Nonetheless some chalk of truth bellowing in the cacophony
One more canvas cadence stuffed down the throat of a moth man
Leaves that clog the gutter of your dead mouth
A point on the entropy Rolodex you shuffle through
A mouth shut like an iron trap in abject silence
Quaalude disdain on the lip of sound’s death
And whose system’s marooned in silence? curtain calls falling
Baptisms of Valium black velvet
Melodies forgotten, pinned to a note on the refrigerator door
By a spinal column magnet, chiseled to a point
A point of barbiturate delirium
Flying over your head
