Reading Primary Sources

When approaching a primary source you should use a reading method called PAPER which involves a person thinking of the Purpose,Argument,Presuppositions,Epistemology,Relate. Thinking of all of these when reading a primary sources will help see the over all picture of the source material. I think the most important question to ask when reading primary source material is purpose and argument, because they are something you can find within the beginning paragraphs of this type of source material. It is important to ask “why is it important to ask what the document does not tell us?” because this question tells us that there is still much to find out and just seeing what was missing from the material can change the way the view the material as a whole. Primary Sources will and have question anyone that claim that which was said to have happened to be true because if the primary source material says what happened than there will have to be further research to prove said person wrong.
