How the Book Points, Lines, and Conic Sections Came to Be

I wrote the book Points, Lines, and Conic Sections (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1456377191/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i4) about eleven years ago now. This book is ranked in the twelve thousands in algebra books (I wonder how many algebra books there are).

This book started out in a funny way. I was a senior in college at Lawrence Technological University (LTU). I was in the first class there that had to do a “Senior Project.” You can think of this like a thesis paper for a Masters Degree or a dissertation for a Ph.D. paper…
