Jim Eichenhofer feature on Nikola Mirotic

This month, Jim Eichenhofer wrote a feature on New Orleans forward Nikola Mirotic for the NBA’s official Pelicans webpage.

The feature details Mirotic’s rise from a teenage soccer star in Montenegro and how he transformed himself into a solid contributor for the Pelicans’ offense. Mirotic was already 6-foot-10 during his teenage years, when his elders convinced him to try basketball. In addition to providing consistency from 3-point range, Mirotic has improved his defense and rebounding.

I really enjoyed how the article detailed Mirotic’s youth and how he discovered his love for basketball. However, I wish Eichenhofer had gone more in-depth with it. His childhood is given merely one paragraph, which is actually the most intriguing part of the story.
