Paul Millsap suffered an injury to his left wrist early in the NBA season, but his rebound from the injury is one to be noted.

Millsap has played in 34 games this season and started in all but one. However, the lack of playing time has not hindered his numbers.

He is averaging 15.1 points, 2.9 assists and 1.2 blocks per game. Those averages exceeds his career averages.

Millsap is also shooting the ball better. So far this season, his shooting percentage falls right at 48 percent. His three-point shooting percentage is right at 36 percent — 3 percent higher that his career average.

There has been much speculation about Millsap not being able to perform as well with Nikola Jokic in the paint. But Millsap seems to fit right in with the star center.

Jokic’s dominant play has taken some of the pressure off of Millsap to help him improve his abilities in different aspects of the game.

For every team Millsap has played in the past, he’s been a force to be reckoned with under the basket. Now, Millsap is able to reduce his workload with Jokic by his side.

Overall, Millsap’s return has improved the Nuggets roster and makes them a legitimate contender in the stacked Western Conference.
