Wildcats for Mavericks
By Taylor Maggiore
Aaron Harrison and Nerlens Noels join forces at the Dallas Mavericks. The two being on the same court will be intriguing to see.
The former Kentucky Wildcat, Aaron Harrison, joins the Dallas Mavericks as well as former teammate, Nerlens Noel. Harrison comes on a 10-day contract with a strong 3-point percentage to work with.
Harrison helped take Kentucky to the Final Four in two consecutive seasons, 2014–15. Nerlens Noel also played for the Wildcats during the sweet 2012 season, winning the NCAA Title Game.
Their specific skills are different, and they could compliment each other in their playing styles. While the Mavericks season is coming to an end, and they stand at 24–55 for this season, these late season trades and new faces could shape next year.
Not only will the new face pose potential, but promise excitement. Harrison’s twin brother, Andrew, plays for the Memphis Grizzlies. It will be interesting to see how the two match up against one another as veteran versus rookie.
