INTROVERTS · FEBRUARY 12, 2018 · (EDIT)

It is not that easy to admit the fact “Yes! I am introvert”. Whenever we meet any introverted person, most of the time, we conceive a misconception that he or she does not like to interact with people. However, according to an expert, introverts can be powerful, warm, and also interested in people.

Maybe you are very much curious about the life of an introverted individual, however, you can easily understand it if you go through the following behavioral signs of an introverted person. These behavioral signs will help you understand the attitudes and traits of such people. It also suggests your own personality.

Introverted People Like to Enjoy with Themselves: Whenever these persons have the opportunity in taking a break, they spend time in playing video games, reading, or listening to music only. This amount of quiet time is crucial for them in making a self-analysis though they spend a significant time in social get-togethers as well.

You might have noticed that introverted people prefer to spending time on self-realization rather than gossiping, chatting, or doing parties. Most of the time, they can be described as knowledge-seekers. They are quiet in nature but it does not mean that they don’t know how to socialize.

Creative thinking comes to their mind while they think Alone: Introverted people are not against the group discussions or meeting but they make better decisions while they think on their own. Creative thinking comes while they analysis their own mind. They try to solve the problems on their own. Therefore, they have the opportunity to think of a problem quietly to make use of their thinking capability in the best possible way. They have the scope to assess their original thought and to yield outcomes about which they can feel proud.

While extroverted people tend to solve a problem by a group discussion, the introverted people often take the whole responsibility on their own shoulders. They find out the solution by thinking quietly.

They can be the Best Leaders: Another misconception about introverted people is that they can’t be a team leader due to their quiet nature. However, the reality is not like that. Under the correct circumstances, they can prove themselves as the best leaders in their field. If the group is full of competent people, then an introverted leader is able to find out the most potential person among the others. However, sometimes, the group needs some spark to do the work in a better way and in such situation, an introverted leader may not be a perfect choice. The team needs an extrovert member to fulfill this criterion.

They are the Last to raise their Hand while someone asks for something from their Team: You can take an example from your school days like when your teacher asked some questions or needed someone to participate in some event, some of the students raised their hands in a blink of an eye and they were the extroverts. Extroverts are always ready and happy to stand out in all the academic as well as social situations. It does not mean that introverts know something less than others rather they just want others to be in the limelight.

Many of your friends might be falling under this category. They have knowledge but they are not ready to expose it in front of the public. For this reason, many times, extroverts get success to grab the opportunity.

Other Individuals ask you about your Opinion: We already know that introverts are not very much interested in volunteering in public affairs, however, they are also not very much interested to give their advice or comment on anything in any public settings. The situation might be a discussion over the dining table or a staff meeting for finalizing the marketing strategies of new products. Introverted people want to confine their views on themselves and allow the noisy extroverts to control the situation. Due to this reason, pieces of advice of an introvert individual are given high values and they are constantly asked about their opinion. Introverts always focus on their inner thoughts and thinking.

Introverts often use Headphones while they are in a Public Atmosphere: In times of walking or making a journey, introverted people most likely do not want to make a communication with others. Earlier, introverted people keep their head down and then look at their front in order to avoid talking with strangers. But, now, with the advancements in technology, they can take help of their headphones (because no one can know that really the music is coming through them or not).

Most of the introverts do not like to start chatting with strangers rather they like to be on their own.

Introverts don’t Prefer to Engage a Person who might be upset or angry: Introverted people try to avoid individuals, who might not be in a good mood. According to a research, people, who are high in introversion, are not able to show the “gaze-cuing effect.” Introvert people don’t want to entertain someone, who might be mad. Introverts are more sensitive towards potentially negative assessments. If an introvert person realizes that someone is angry with him or her, then his or her gaze can become a threat to that person.

Introverts prefer to live in a quiet and peaceful environment and they do not like unnecessary noise and trouble.

Introverts hardly make calls, texts, or emails: Highly introverted people don’t like to initiate a conversation in their social circles. If they have a spare time, they don’t make a call or type a text that means they don’t like to pass their time in socializing. A true introvert individual hardly reacts to other’s communication what they have received rather they receive reactions from others.

Introverts people prefer to invite people via the post office or cyberspace instead of making a call. They don’t like to hear ‘no’ from others because it hurts them. For that reason, they avoid direct communication in most of the situations.

Introverts are not comfortable to start a small talk with a casually-known person.

Different introverts have unique characteristics but the aforementioned traits are more or less common to most of the introverts.
