Ok, so the title may be a little click-bait-ey, but hear me out. There are 3 (three) physics books you need to read to really get physics (up through classical mechanics) intuitively. I’ll also include some runners-up.

I recommend these to everyone I know who wants to learn physics, but doesn’t have the time or energy (or money) for a full physics program. These books are chosen based on the following criteria:

  • Readability/accessibility (how language dense are they?)
  • Intuitiveness (do they make lightbulbs pop off in your head?
  • Beauty (are they aesthetically pleasing?)
  • Problems (do they have some problems you can try on your own, or do they properly prepare you?)

These ratings depend on the fact that these are criteria for the “lightbulb” moment. Keep in mind that these books are all 10/10, but for the purposes of this rating system, they are compared to each other, so I am able to be a little harsher.

With that, let’s see the list!
