InventoryClub CEO Invited to Speak on the Future of Finance at the 2019 FutureBanking Conference
The world of technology seems to be moving forward at almost lightning speed. From the advent of cryptocurrency and blockchain to major developments in self-driving cars and the unveiling of 5G, it feels like technology is impacting the world in brand new, unheard of ways every other week. In fact, technology is having such an incredible impact, it is even grabbing and propelling industries not generally thought of for rapid pace changes and advancements — most notably Finance.
Fintech — which as it suggests is an amalgamation of Finance and Technology, contains a lot of very exciting buzzwords such as blockchain, AI, and machine learning. One of the primary directives of this conference, and something InventoryClub CEO Terry Igharoro will be speaking on, is demystifying what Fintech really is and how it will impact the future of people going about his/her daily life. Through founding and running a Fintech company (InventoryClub), Terry has developed a unique perspective to be shared on the future trends of Fintech.
At it’s core, InventoryClub is a Fintech company that focuses on redefining the commodities value chain. The commodities value chain is simply how commodities like coffee, coco, Shea butter, etc. get from the producers to the end-users. In the past, this process has been controlled by big business and involved lots of inefficiencies, which led to lots of produce waste as well as negatively impacting the livelihoods of producers. However, through the use of Fintech, InventoryClub is looking to turn this old process on its head, by creating an environment with systems that not only allow for producers to have greater control and sell more of their yield (less waste and more money equals positive impact on livelihood), but also allow for everyday people to participate in the process in a way that allows them to have a real, meaningful impact in the world.
Terry will be speaking about things such as a impact investing, competition vs. collaboration, cryptoassets and the future money, and how InventoryClub as a Fintech company is using each of these to build a future rooted in impact.
