From now until July 2nd, Hashimoto Contemporary LA is holding a group exhibition titled Vessel curated by Dasha Matsuura @dashasayshi, celebrating the classical form and motif, including Anna Valdez, Laura Berger, Chelsea Wong, and Hilda Palafox. Vessels of all forms and mediums can be found throughout the history of art and carries into contemporary pieces as well. Each artist uses the vessel in their own contexts and narratives, demonstrating the versatility and all-encompassing role of a seemingly ordinary but widely beloved object.

“From highlighting the beauty in the every day utility, such as Josh Stover’s quiet table scene or Francisco Diaz Scotto’s saturated garden scapes, to the primal, ritualistic feeling work of David Heo or Laura Berger — each depiction is unique. Each vessel takes a new form, adding to the eternal legacy and containing the history that came before.” — Hashimoto Contemporary

In addition to the LA exhibition, Hashimoto Contemporary SF will be holding their Vessel group exhibition from July 10th to the 31st.
