InvestEd’s Students Receive Financial Aid from Our Partner Lenders

MANILA — February 14, 2018 Sterling Paper officially turns over Php 500,000 to InvestEd, as part of a joint initiative to help graduate financially in need college students in the country. The fund was personally committed by Sterling Paper’s CEO, Dr. Henry Lim Bon Liong, during The Final Pitch’s show last August 2017.

Dr. Lim is the eldest son of a Chinese migrant, who founded Sterling Paper as a book binding and photo album manufacturing business. As a mechanical engineering graduate of UP Diliman, Dr. Lim shared to InvestEd that he also struggled financially as a college student. Hence, he shares the same vision with InvestEd’s founders.

The Php 500K fund will be used to provide education loans which may be used for students’ tuition, stipend, dorm and project expenses. Sterling Paper is also committed to providing employment opportunities for InvestEd’s graduating and internship-ready students.
