I have some awesome ideas for Start-ups!
I’m feeling magnanimous today, so I’m sharing them with you — for FREE!
Looking to “make bank” in the super-hot Start-up market? Interested in a way to get your name out there without having to spend time learning code or “full-stack engineering” like those annoying “millenials”? Well, today you’re in luck. Here are some AWESOME IDEAS FOR START-UPS that you can do right away!
Better reserve a space in that Office Co-working Space downtown, because these ideas are going fast!
- Plant some seeds in the sun, in decent soil, and water them regularly. GARDEN START-UP!
2. Find some leafy, flavorful greens — maybe even “wild plants”, like chickweed, wild mustard, etc. — and pulse them together in a blender or food processor with some olive oil, salt, and garlic. FULL STACK PESTO START-UP, BABY.
3. Harvest two cups each of salal berries and aronia fruit. Place in six cups of water. Bring to a boil, then lower to a simmer and reduce by two cups or so. Drain the liquid into a glass bowl, and squeeeeeeeze as much liquid from the berries as possible. Mix in a cup of your favorite sugar. Add pectin per the instructions. You’ve just HACKED THOSE BERRIES — Start-up time!
4. Toss some garlic and olive oil into a saute pan and turn it on medium. When it starts to smell like heaven, add some chopped up mixed greens (wild or otherwise), maybe some snap peas, and a glug of soy sauce. Turn it town to medium-low. When the greens start to get soft and wilty, toss in a cup or so of your favorite white beans. Add some salt and pepper and red chili flakes. Get it all nice and hot, and serve it up in a bowl with some crumbled feta or chevre. NOW THAT’S A START-UP RIGHT THERE!
5. Head out to someplace with nice flowers, and find a ladybug. Watch it walking around, doing its thing. HACKATHON TIME!
See, that’s not too difficult, is it? You’ve entered the fast-paced world of the New Economy, and you didn’t even need to move into a co-op in the Mission.
