New York Times: Doubts About the Promised Bounty of Genetically Modified Crops

Surprise, surprise….

But an extensive examination by The New York Times indicates that the debate has missed a more basic problem — genetic modification in the United States and Canada has not accelerated increases in crop yields or led to an overall reduction in the use of chemical pesticides.

Again, louder:

“[G]enetic modification in the United States and Canada has not accelerated increases in crop yields or led to an overall reduction in the use of chemical pesticides.”

One more time, even louder:

“[G]enetic modification in the United States and Canada has not accelerated increases in crop yields or led to an overall reduction in the use of chemical pesticides.”

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
