Sodium chloride and the brain are not the same.

The pills have gotten into me,
They’re working my brain,
Dancing on neurones,
Plucking out pain.

But my arms are tired,
My legs are drained.
My body is groaning,
Screaming disdain.

The question hangs and dangles
In the stiff cold air.
The question stares,
The question remains.

Will it be hope
Or more of the same?
