There are certainly times in my life where everything is flawless. I have a beautiful fiancé, a supportive family, great friends, and the ability to feel like I am on top of the world. Hey, that’s the dream, right? Well, like everything in this world, there are ups and downs.

I have been battling Lyme Disease and the Bartonella bacteria for as long as I can remember. I don’t remember ever being bit by a tick, and I have felt the symptoms for as long as I can remember. My symptoms are rather unique. I have never met anyone who has had the same experience as me, and this is partially because I believe people are being misdiagnosed every day like I was.

After 15 years of going to doctor after doctor, I found myself in the same spot as always. I would either be on the brink of a breakdown or fresh off of the latest meltdown. I could see my psychiatrist puzzled. I had been with her for 6 years, and after more than 15 heavy-duty psychiatric drugs there was no help. I felt as out of options as my psychiatrist did.

She eventually decided to think outside the box and brought up the idea of plant medicine. I was up for anything as my life was not living, but enduring the torture of each day. I lived in constant anxiety about the next panic attack or depressive episode. I was willing to do anything…

I suffer from Lyme Disease, so I write about my struggles and attempts to get better. Also, I sprinkle in a lil comedy to keep you on your toes.
