Remember This While Helping Others Through a Hard Time
“Underestimate Patience, Overestimate Pain”
This month’s been rough. I caught myself saying things that would make me quote self-improvement books to others:
I can’t wait for this month to end.
Everything sucks.
Why is God doing this to us — to me?
I thought COVID was bad, now this?
The specifics of the things happening are gruesome in some cases and heartbreaking in others.
The fact that you’re reading this shows that my mental fortitude is more potent than I give myself credit. I’m self-aware that I’m still in pain and should not be sharing things I’m still figuring out — especially when they concern other people.
However, while trying to assist others in my family, and also care for myself, I had this brief flash of insight that is currently helping me navigate this hard time a little better.
Writing is how I think. It’s how I navigate my own consciousness. It’s also the best way I’ve found to share ideas to help others.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
