For millions of Americans, antidepressants are incredibly safe drugs to turn to when we’ve exhausted other avenues, from self-care to diet, from exercise to therapy. Some people might need them as the first line of defense. Others will use them once they’ve tried everything else. It’s not my place to judge—nor anyone else’s.
