I am the sort of person who is pretty easily overwhelmed. Sometimes I shut down. Sometimes I hide or run away and sometimes I literally melt down.

When I was younger my mom said it was hormonal. That I simply got overwhelmed by my own emotions and hormonal swings. That I “over-reacted”. The doctor said it was a symptom of my ADHD.
