There is a lot of shame involved. Mostly because you don’t know who to talk to. When you do talk, you’re increasingly wary of the responses you’ll get. Mostly because there’s a disconnect between what you feel, what you express, and how you express it.

Why are you so quiet? Why can’t you leave the house? Sit –up!

Then there is guilt. Why should I feel this way? I have everything working out for me. I have a family. I have a source of income. I have a smartphone. I have food. Why should I dare be so dramatic? I have people who have openly expressed awe my talent and are willing to pay me to do work for them, why should I want to stay in bed all week?

Why would I not want to do something as simple as taking a bath?
