Trade freedom for liberty.
The real possibilities that exist inside of an elegant system are more valuable than the theoretical possibilities that exist outside of it.
In order to limit negative possibilities, even the most elegant systems will have to limit some positive possibilities. What distinguishes an elegant solution from a crude one is that it increases net-possibilities. There is more optionality, more choice — on the other side.
