“Alright are you ready? okay, 3, 2, 1, GO!” … “Okay, okay pause, did you pause? Okay, what time are you at? It’s a picture of a guy looking past the boat right?”

It was in 2014/2015, when my friends and I first began synchronizing videos. Back in those days, we were using Skype and manual counting down to synchronize our streams.

In 2016/2017, my friend discovered Rabb.it and it was great. It was easily the best video synchronization app out there. It had a clean UI, a functional chat, and fun features like the floating react emotes. TV watching was better than it had ever been.

Me and my friends’ TV Watching website. Over the years my friends and I have watched Vikings, Game of Thrones, Rick and Morty, The Prestige, Young Justice, Peaky Blinders and more.

For years, we used Rabb.it. It was the go-to, we never considered anything else to solve our TV watching needs, and so when Rabb.it died in 2019, we became truly lost. We quickly went out to look for alternatives, but nothing we found could come close to Rabb.it. We ended up resorting to using Watch2Gether, and for the next year and a bit, TV was just never the same.

Introducing Invited

Invited lets you watch together using a virtual browser!

My friend and I are excited excited to announce the launch of Invited this week. Invited allows you to host virtual browsers for free. Open a room, share the invite link, and you’re good to go!

The rooms currently allow for 720p 30fps video, with no noticeable lag up to ~50 viewers.

We have added two optional subscription plans to help pay for server costs. With a subscription, users can host rooms any time they like. Free users can only host rooms when we have spare rooms available. Monthly subscriptions are $5 and yearly subscriptions are $50.

It is always free to watch. Think of it like a board game, only one person needs to get the game, but any number of friends can join.

Feel free to let us know your thoughts, we would love to connect! Our Discord invite link is on our landing page.
