My Commitments to IO Collective

For me what I saw and felt at the IO Retreat was leadership emerging in the spaces where it needed to. When we held onto a shared and powerful (and initially perhaps also intangible) intention, each of us stepped into what they saw was needed for the whole group in a very caring and loving way, and we opened up to each other fully. Thank YOU for being those amazing ways.

Today in Candili there’s been a really special energy. I REALLY noticed the spectacular beauty of nature in this place, in a much deeper way than during the Retreat. I was among butterflies flying around, a flock of sheep curious about our transformational door, and I even met a tortoise on the way up the hill to see the sunset. I have to acknowledge the role this very special place played in grounding what we are in the living system of our planet and the universe that we are part of and one with:

Starting to reflect on and synthesise the experience, there’s so much coming up. What I know most is: I want this to happen and to really be real in the world. Well it already is real. It is HERE. It is NOW. I would love to continue to nurture and grow it together with you, and that is one thing I will do.

I invite you to also share the commitments you feel you can offer — even if it’s just one simple and very small thing — and in whatever way works best for you. We are a collective and it all adds up to make the magic happen!!

Here are mine:

My commitments to the IO Collective

To help bring the IO Collective into being our full possibility, I commit to you all:

  1. By Sunday (19 June): I will digitise some of the pure amazingness, currently in paper form, that we co-created over the last few days to make it easy for you to provide feedback on the starting points we’ve created, and we can continue to iterate on them. Specifically:
    - “Effective and loving Collaboration and Togetherness” a list of some of the needs we have for communication and collaboration beyond the Retreat, including starting ideas of what rituals, practices, tools, platforms and roles that might work well to support those
    - Concept + template of “Recipes/Prototypes for Human Collaboration Systems”
    - Input into Local engagement strategy for Villa Averoff Innovation Lab / Hub
  2. Get us all using kick-ass tools for communication and collaboration, and be there to support you in becoming amazing at using them (with Luke) (for what we’re doing together + so we each have a better and more powerful toolkit for any work we are doing)
  3. By the end of June: Publish an outline “Recipe for an Retreat” (with Victor), so we can co-create that together , so that we can run the best possible Retreat next time, and so that others who want to run similar events to launch new projects and communities can learn from all we are finding about what works best
  4. Be a guardian of the “Dream Stick” and bring it to the next IO Retreat to channel more powerful intention and beautiful creativity from you brilliant people who were at the Retreat and everyone in this group — or soon to be in it — whose first Retreat will be the next one. I am there!

Add a comment if you think you might like to unite on any of these! I would love that.

If you’re reading this sentence, that means it’s your turn next to share your commitments :-)
