The ioeX team has updated our White Paper on September 16, 2018; the lasted version includes a further optimization and explanation on the side chain, arbitration, network and massive virtual cloud machine mechanisms, and token economic models.

1. The detailed description of the side chain and arbitration mechanisms, and the explanation of how blockchain works in ioeX project.
Our blockchain architecture incorporates both main chain and side chain to ease the burden of main chain, and to offer a better user experience for DApps recording and transmitting the contribution of each peer node for its corresponding token rewards. We do not apply two-way peg protocol on our chains; therefore, the side chain can adopt ransom consensus mechanism as it wishes. Currently, ioeX’s side chain follows the DPoS consensus from Elastos, and the arbitrator in main chain will act as the delegates for it; therefore, the safety of side chain can be ensured, and since the side chain doesn’t mine, it will generate blocks faster. Arbitrators participate in transferring between main chain and side chain, and they are elected by seed nodes in the ioeX main chain, and will take turns periodically. When transferring from side chain to main chain, the arbitrator not only creates and transfers the transaction but also participate in signing the transaction to make the peer node making contributions be verified by the ioeX main chain.
2. The detailed description of the network mechanism, which explains how to establish a reliable direct link network by peer node and bootstrap node, and conduct information transmission and storage on it.
The peer node refers to a general smart device that connects to the internet through a dynamic IP address. The ioeX function enables it to connect to the network, store and share data in the network. When transmitting/receiving data between peer nodes, it can be encrypted with UIDs of both sides, so the data will be accessible only to receivers who have UIDs. The bootstrap node must have a fixed IP address, and can be searched and linked to each other; the peer node can form a network or join a network by connecting to a bootstrap node. When two peer nodes fail to transmit messages or data directly, bootstrap nodes can act as data relays and it will only act as the channel of communication, it doesn’t actually store or execute data from peer nodes, so the possibilities of virus infection and the spread of viruses will be prevented. The ioeX decentralized network distributes the “Organization and Transmission” and “Storage” tasks to different types of nodes.
3. The further description of the mechanism of the massive virtual cloud machine in ioeX network and its future applications.
By integrating the computing power, storage capacity, and network connectivity of each node in the ioeX network, a cloud computing platform can be created; ioeX would be able to develop and operate the system to provide APIs that attract more developers and service providers to join the network, and provide application services for their users or clients. The nodes in the network can connect to each other directly, and the performance of the virtual cloud computing platform improves as the scale grows bigger, so it can support more application services.
4. Further optimization of token economic models to facilitate the establishment of ioeX ecosphere.
We have optimized the token economic models and the allocation of funds to Accelerating Construction of Ecosystem Program, community and startup incubation are now included; to attract more business to join in and expand the ioeX network and improve the establishment of ioeX ecosphere through the collaborations of business application and technology and the development of communities.
