Iomob on the Move!
October was such a great month for Iomob. It started by being selected as a top 100 startup at the South Summit in Madrid (out of 3600 startup applicants). Things only got better when Iomob won the top mobility startup award at the Summit. Not only that but Renfe formerly announced the pilot Mobility as a Service (MaaS) pilot with us and published an invitation to Spanish mobility and rail users to sign up to participate in the pilot.

The month continued in such a positive fashion. We submitted a new app for review by our clients in Wellington, New Zealand with the leadership of Phil Williams on the ground through our partner and investor Centrality.
Furthermore, Iomob was invited as a top 12 startup to present to a group of executives from different automobile clubes throughout Europe who are part of the Federation of International Automobiles. The club executives voted Iomob the best startup and we were invited to present our vision to executives of global automobile clubs in Paris in December!
Iomob was later profiled as one of 8 startups tranforming mobility in a major Spanish publication, El Pais.
Now November is kicking off with a bang. First up, announcing a major new hire. Scott Shepard, the former Chief Commercial Officer for Free2Move, has agreed to join Iomob as Chief Business Officer.

I have been following his transformative work in mobility for years and in fact first reached out to him in February 2018 when Iomob was forming its initial advisory board.
In my origina LinkedIn request to meet Scott in February 2018, I wrote:
Hi Scott. I must admit I do not recall if we have ever met in person but we do have 162 mutual connections so I am guess we have!..
Given that in the almost two years that have past since our first meeting, we now have 470+ shared connections I am even more convinced our stars have finally aligned.
And now as the Smart City Expo World Congress is upon us again, Scott will be able to join our team in Barcelona at the same time our first solution will be available to users (the Renfe App launches on November 15th) and where I will be hosting a discussion on the future of mobility and MaaS.
Scott and I will both be spending a lot of time with the mobility experts at the Expo throughout the event so if you are in Barcelona for the Expo and would like to learn more about Iomob’s next generation MaaS platform, let us know!
